Which Is Worse? Politicians Who Don't Pay Taxes? Or Ones That Raise Your Taxes?
There are plenty of questions facing voters this fall, but one of the most interesting is the question above: "Which is worse?" And it is regards to candidate for Illinois Treasurer Mike Frerichs' approach to taxes.
He has taken a strong position in regards to property taxes: that's one where he believes he doesn't have to pay them.
And...Mike Frerichs has taken a strong position in regards to taxes for Illinois residents: that's one where he wants to raise taxes on everything from yoga to haircuts. Unreal.
So...go weigh in and have your say: Which is Worse?!?

Which is Worse? Mike Frerichs Raising Your Taxes or Mike Frerichs Not Paying His Own Taxes?
That's the question that the Tom Cross for Illinois State Treasurer is trying to find as they've rolled out a new online quiz that voters can take on http://www.jointomcross.com/whichisworse.
A new online quiz is asking voters to answer the question: Which is worse? Mike Frerichs raising taxes or Mike Frerichs not paying his own taxes. Last month, Crain’s broke the story that Frerichs was six years delinquent on paying his property taxes. While refusing to pay his own taxes, Frerichs has continuously supported tax increases, including the Quinn-Madigan 67% income tax increase, a tax on consumer services, a graduated income tax increase and many, many more.
“Most voters believe that taken individually, both raising taxes and not paying your own taxes are bad policy and irresponsible actions,” said Kevin Artl, campaign manager for Tom Cross. “But the question remains, which is worse? Mike Frerichs raising taxes or Mike Frerichs not paying his own taxes. That’s the answer we seek to find.”
