Democrat Mike Frerichs Was There For the "Bartman Incident"?!? NFW.

A sharp-eyed Illinois Truth Team reader has just sent us another submission in the "Where's Sign-Holding Mike Frerichs" Scavenger hunt.

By now, you've seen Mike holding his own "Meet Mike Frerichs" sign up for a photo opp with Illinois State Sentor Terry Link and State Representative Carol Sente.

You've also seen how Mike snuck into the back of a US Senator Dick Durbin Facebook post holding the very same "Meet Mike Frerichs" sign.

For the movie buffs in the audience, you might have missed Mike in Braveheart.  But...sure enough...he's there.

And those of you who are watching the race know that Mike Frerichs is a Cubs fan.  He's even turned to his Twitter handle (as he's wont to do) to proclaim for all that can read that he's a Cubs guy.

But...did you know that Mike Frerichs was *there* on that fateful night?  Not only was he in attendance on October 14, 2003 as the Cubs took on the Marlins in the NLCS, but he was - unbelievable - super close to the action that night.

Where Else Has Sign-Holding Mike Frerichs Been?

The submissions are pouring in and we wanted to share one of the early ones with you our dear readers of the Truth Team.

Earlier today, we discovered that sad Mike Frerichs was posing with his "Meet Mike Frerichs" sign in the back of a gaggle in a Dick Durbin ad posted on Facebook.

This was the second sighting of Tax Hike Mike posing with his desperate "meet me" sign.  The first was in this photo of Senator Terry Link and State Representative Carol Sente at an Independence Day Parade over the weekend.

We knew that if there were two sightings of Mike holding his sign, there had to be more.

Sure enough...our eagle-eyed readers didn't disappoint.  First up?  An Academy Award winning film!  Yes...sure enough.  A reader took a screen grab of this epic scene from Braveheart.  Look who's in there holding up his sign:

Can't tell from this angle, but he might be wearing his earmuffs to go along with his outfit.

Mike Frerichs the Tough Mudder? That Suit Had To Weigh Him Down on the Twinkle Toes Bridge, Right?

Wearing a suit to a Tough Mudder race is about the same thing as wearing a suit to a Habitat For Humanity build site.  Sounds strange, right?  But that's exactly what Mike Frerichs did last week.  

Talk about a tone deaf politician.  And now he's running for Illinois State Treasurer.    A real 'man of the people' eh?  Oh, what's that?  He voted to raise his own salary last week, too?  Sounds about right.

One of our readers sent us this photo they found on their iPhone of Mike Frerichs in the parking lot of a Jimmy Buffet concert.  Who knew Earmuffs Mike Frerichs was a Parrothead?  He sure hasn't been tweeting about his love for Margaritaville?!?

Look who snuck in there?  Guess the Leis don't go with his suit.

But...what else does he do?  He shows up at a Habitat for Humanity build event in a suit.  A suit.

As luck would have it, one of our dear readers of the Illinois Truth Team was looking through their recent Spring Break photos and came across an odd photo.  Somehow - while they were taking photos of their kids at the waterpark - Mike Frerichs popped in there.  Guess what he was wearing?  It wasn't a "Swim" suit...  Look at that?!?  Looks like Mike even got a little bit of sunburn on his face out at the water park.  Good thing he was covered up otherwise.

Bob Grogan *has* really been busy out on the campaign trail.  In addition to lending a hand with Bob Costas and his pink eye, paying respects to Shirley Temple and even discussing his (alleged) interest in burritos, he found even found time to hit the stage with Gene, Paul and the boys from KISS.

Bob Grogan: The Most Meme-able Man in the World?

DuPage County Auditor and Illinois Treasurer's candidate Bob Grogan posted a video of a recent stump speech on YouTube this week.  You can see the full video here if you'd like.  We have to admit...Bob is pretty funny on the stump, but that's not the real reason to watch it.

The real reason?  He takes note of our work here at the Truth Team!

Yeah!  That's right, he talks about how he is "The Most Meme-able Man in the World".  (Although, some folks here on the editorial team of the Illinois Truth Team will tell you that such a distinction actually falls to Mike Frerichs.)
