Breaking: IEA Comes Clean After Audio Surfaces in Illinois Treasurer's Endorsement

Fresh off the release of this embarrassing audio where no one from the Illinois Education Association can say (with a straight face!) why exactly they're supporting Mike Frerichs for Illinois State Treasurer comes this press release from the folks IEA.

Why Did the IEA Endorse Mike Frerichs for Treasurer? They're, Ummm, Not Really Sure.

Earlier this week, Democrat Candidate for Illinois State Treasurer Mike Frerichs trotted out an endorsement by the Illinois Education Association in a tour around some parts of the State where they held press conferences.

When asked by a reporter why the IEA chose to back Frerichs over his opponent in November Tom Cross, well...the IEA and the folks at the press conference couldn't quite tell anyone why they're endorsing Mike.  The silence and stammering are staggering.  No one is quite sure whey they're supporting Mike.

Treasurer's Candidate "Earmuffs" Mike Frerichs Trots Out IEA Support (With Earmuffs!)

Over on Twitter, Democrat Candidate for Illinois State Treasurer Mike Frerichs posted a photo of some of his support from the Illinois Education Association.

Much to our surprise, the teachers have come out strong in support by wearing Mike Frerichs' favorite headgear:  his famous earmuffs.

How nice of these folks to support Mike like that!  Will we start to see more folks rockin' the earmuffs when they take photos with Mike?  We here at the Truth Team sure hope so!
