Darlene Senger 'Closing The Gap' on Incumbent Do-Nothing Congressman Bill Foster

Some real momentum is showing up in the 11th Congressional District race as challenger Darlene Senger continues propels her campaign forward in the race to beat incumbent Congressman Bill Foster.

If you are a subscriber to Rich Miller's Capitol Fax, you've read this morning some important news on the race.

But...for us...The latest data point on campaign mo-jo is Senger's campaign having some real organization muscle via phone banking.

From her Facebook Wall, check out that table of folks who made almost 10K calls on Saturday ALONE.  Pretty good peek at the true diversity of the kinds of folks the right Republican candidate can pull together.
We had a HUGE weekend at our call center this past week. Over 9,500 calls made on Saturday alone. If you haven't done so yet, sign up for a call shift today. Contact Tim@sengerforcongress.com
If you live up there in Aurora, Joliet, Bolingbrook, Naperville, Plainfield, and even portions of New Lenox, go ahead...email Tim at the address above or go over to Darlene Senger's site and get involved.

First Darlene Senger vs Bill Foster Congressional Debate Set For WTTW On October 23

Looks like do-nothing Congressman Bill Foster will finally come out of the shadows and face his hard-charging Republican opponent Darlene Senger in a public debate.  While Foster continues to refuse to 'face the music' by having actual voters ask questions of the candidates in an open forum, at least Senger and the public will be able to call Congresman Bill Foster on his do-nothingness in Washington DC.

The first confirmed debate for the 11th Congressional District race is a candidate forum Oct. 23 on WTTW

The forum is scheduled to air live at 7 p.m. on WTTW-Channel 11, the public television station out of Chicago. The participants are incumbent Rep. Bill Foster, D-Naperville, and opponent state Rep. Darlene Senger, R-Naperville.

The candidates will be interviewed live by a moderator who is yet to be determined, WTTW Manager of Media Relations Julia Maish confirmed in an email.
The forum will also have no studio audience, although that could change, Maish said.
“We’re happy to do the debate with WTTW,” said Anthony Barry, Senger’s campaign manager. “But the constant issue is we want to do open debates in front of the voters who can ask questions. That has been the battle with Congressman Foster from the get-go.”

My campaign is going to work tirelessly till the election to help get my message of lower taxes, smaller government and more opportunity to voters within the district. Darlene Senger Right In the Race Against Bill Foster For Congress

Big news coming out of the Western Suburbs:  Congressional candidate Darlene Senger - having fought through a tough primary this Spring - is going to give Congressman Bill Foster a run for his money.

In an email newsletter sent out today with the subject line "Too Close to Call", Senger implores her supporters to double down their efforts to win this important seat in Congress:

Have you heard the news?  Today the National Republican Congressional Committee named me to the "Young Guns" list. This is a BIG deal because they only do this for the challenger races they think they can win and plan on working in.

This is great news for the campaign but it gets better from here.
My race for Congress is already starting to tighten and it is still June!  Just yesterday Crain’s released a poll showing that Bill Foster and I are neck and neck.  It is clear that voters are dissatisfied will Bill Foster’s record of more government, more taxes and more spending and are ready for a change.
This Morning on Capitol Fax, Rich Miller reported on the poll saying "That’s not good news for Foster at all"
This is HUGE news for our campaign and more reason why we need to get out there NOW!
And that is why I need your help today!  Your donation of $100 will help get my message of reducing spending, cutting taxes and balancing the budget out all over the 11th District.  Voters know it’s time for a change, electing the same people who created our country’s problems won’t be able to fix them.  Can I count on your support today?  A donation of $100 will go a long way in helping me defeat Bill Foster in November.
