Elect a Fiscal "Jedi Knight" In Mel Thillens For State Representative

Illinois can get turned around, but it needs to start with getting rid of some of the wrong folks like State Representative Marty Moylan and putting in guys like Mel Thillens to the Illinois State House.

He'll "use the force" for balanced state government that keeps its promises and pays its bills.

Fear not, voter!  On Tuesday November 4th, vote for Mel Thillens for State Representative.

Let's Get Fiscal: One Party Rule Is 'Out Of Style'

Dan Proft's "Liberty Principles PAC" is running this ad - and this message about how 'one party rule' is dooming Illinois down in the 115th District on behalf of candidate Terri Bryant - who is running for State Representative to replace out-going Rep. Mike Bost.

The spot - that is draped in pink - urges voters to bring 'balance' back to state government by voting for Bryant.  It says we need bring this balanced government - where Bryant serves as the counterweight to a hilariously-posed Speaker Mike Madigan in jazzercise gear - 'back in vogue'.

The use of Speaker Madigan on the animated body of a jazzercise'r is pretty funny, but we have to wonder if normal voters recognize him?  I can imagine the giggles happening at the radio station when Proft and company reviewed the concept, so even if voters in the 115th don't pick up on the cues, at least there is some comedic value in the effort!

Wait?!? Did State Rep. Scott Drury *Really* Have His Dad File The Lawsuit?

This little nugget about Scott flailing about in the legal system during his campaign is unreal.

But could it be true?

Could State Representative Scott Drury *actually* have asked his father to sue Dan Proft and his opponent Dr. Mark Neerhof because he didn't 'like the things people were saying about him'???

Sure enough.  It is true.

Exclusive Footage: State Rep Scott Drury Reacts To Campaign Taking A Turn

We have some exclusive footage of State Representative Scott Drury reacting to the latest pieces of campaign mail hitting mailboxes in his district.

On his way to the bedroom - and before slamming the door - if you listen closely, you can clerarly hear Representative Drury murmuring something about 'Dan Proft being mean'.

For background you can see here how Representative Drury is flailing about in the legal system because he doesn't like how he's being treated in this political campaign.

(oh noes!?!  Please Mr. Drury...don't sue us, too!)

'Fine Line' By Dan Proft On Chicago Red Light Tickets

Courtesy of Dan Proft's Facebook Wall comes this mighty fine line:
Pretty clever.  Wouldn't expect anything less from Dan, though.
It used to be your alderman would fix a ticket for you. Now Chicago fixes tickets against you. ‪#‎BringBacktheOldCorruption‬

Dan Proft Dreams of Darius Foster in Illinois

Over on Twitter, rabble-rouser and talk radio host Dan Proft pines away on an Alabama State Representative Candidate named Darius Foster.

You're wondering:  Who?  Why?

Well...us too.  But...after spending 1:10 enthralled with his campaign spot, we have to tip our cap to Dan Proft for sharing this with us.  Thanks, Dan!

'Big Tent' indeed.

Check out the full video here.  Not a bad way to introduce your candidacy to your district, your state, and now your country.

Latest in Matune/Sandack Race: "Creepy Cicero Outsiders"

Early this morning, we were tipped this image in our inbox (if you have something you want us to check out...remember...drop us a line at tipthetruthteam@gmail.com).

In what appears to be the latest salvo in the Ron Sandack/Keith Matune slugfest (remember...we're supporting Sandack because he's good for the ILGOP), the attack is now focusing on the messenger (Dan Proft).  We've seen this before ("Don't let Chicago-style Politics...") but this is the first time we've it used against Proft.

Carol Marin Unloads on Dan Proft and Keith Matune

We've been mostly silent the past week while the Ron Sandack and Keith Matune fireworks have been going off, but that doesn't mean we weren't paying attention.

Yesterday in the Chicago Sun-Times, one of the most important voices in Illinois politics for the past few decades chimed in on the Sandack/Matune race and calls what Dan Proft and his stooge Keith Matune are doing by an accurate word:  ugly.

From the Marin piece. she shines a light on who's supporting Keith Matune:
Dan Proft, a dark presence in Illinois politics, likes to pose as a defender of principled conservative values. Values he touts on his WLS-AM radio show and through his Liberty Principles PAC that lends support to political candidates.
One of those candidates is Keith Matune, a 44-year-old teacher from Downers Grove who is making a GOP primary run against 50-year-old incumbent state Rep. Ron Sandack, the former mayor of that suburb.

But she also digs a bit on Keith Matune and confirms that he's a liar about his deep criminal record.
It turns out that Keith Matune failed to disclose on questionnaires — including his application to teach in Indian Prairie District 204 — that he had been arrested for passing bad checks, trespassing and public indecency back in 1991 and 1992.
“To my knowledge, they were all expunged,” Matune told me by phone this week.
They were not.
When I called the Tippecanoe Records office in Indiana where Matune had been charged with being “in a state of nudity” outside a computer center and trespassing, the clerk told me those charges were decidedly not expunged. “It’s a public record as of now,” she said.
