In light of the latest - and hilarious - spree of mistakes, word choice errors and punctuation problems out of the Mike Frerichs campaign, we wanted to remind folks that a campaign is still looking for a solution. The job posting over on Craigslist appears to be active?
They DESPERATELY need the help.

Guess The Mike Frerichs Campaign Hasn't Filled The Role Yet?!?
Based on the photos/tweets from last night, it appears that despite some responses coming in from their Craigslist ad, the Mike Frerichs for State Treasurer campaign hasn't quite been able to fill the role they've been seeking.
Please, please, please. For the sake of our content creation abilities: don't fill the role, Mike. Steady-as-she-goes. Keep shootin' from the hip. Flail about with terrible photos, hilarious mistakes, and multiple tries at your social postings.
H/T to this guy on Twitter here.

Latest Application For Copywriter/Proofer for Champaign-based Statewide Campaign
Last week, Rich Miller at Capitol Fax covered the 'prank ad' that was posted to Craigslist that sought a 'Copywriter/Proofer for Statewide Political Campaign'. And then, we quickly were leaked one of the responses from an applicant. You can see this first response here.
Well, our mole inside the Mike Frerichs for Treasurer campaign has come through with another applicant's response. Check out how they start things off: calling out the memes that are littered around the web.
Well, the first thing you have to do is find and destroy the harmful, yet hilarious, Mike Frerich's memes that pop up everywhere.But...we can't help to think that this response was sent in from their own staff. See how they spelled "Frerich's" not "Frerichs'"?!? Nice. Hire this person, Mike!
Using social media as a campaign tool has it's drawbacks; the most obvious being the free will given to man, allowing idiotic, uninformed reply posts.
I have done copy writing and proofing for multiple positions I've held, and worked freelance a bit for online content management systems, otherwise known as CMS to the cool people.
I can wear a suit, and even better, I'm a woman, and people foolishly trust women more when working for a male candidate, because they believe no self-respecting women would work for an asshole. Which, if true, would actually put us, as a sex, mostly out of work.
I think hopping aboard while Mike Frerich's career is reaching new heights, and he begins to tower over others, would be intense and interesting, although perhaps a tall order.
Good luck with your search.

5 Reactions From Yesterday Afternoon After CapFax Posted The Craigslist Ad Story
We quickly assembled some reactions to the morale-crushing post on Rich Miller's Capitol Fax about a Craigslist job posting that is aimed at the Mike Frerichs for Illinois Treasurer campaign.
We thought it would be informative to see how the folks involved reacted to seeing the post/reading the news, so here's 5 reactions that took place last night.
1. Witnesses saw candidate Mike Frerichs sulking into his party at Quartino with Rahm Emanuel. They say that it didn't look good. We captured the walk from his tiny car to the restaurant door:
2. Last night's 'guest of honor' at the Mike Frerichs fundraiser, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel wasn't amused. How can his folks have him standing up next to the laughingstock that Mike Frerichs and his campaign for State Treasurer have become. Someone should have stopped the fundraiser/appearance by Rahm before it started. He felt like he was taking crazy pills!
3. The team at ILGOP HQ were giggling about how truthful the ad posting was for the campaign.
4. The fundraising consultants for the Frerichs campaign had to sit down with Mike to show him - exactly - how far some of their supporters are moving away from the campaign because it is being run so poorly.
5. The Frerichs Campaign Staff thought they were getting a celebration at Quartino. It turned into a wake where they drowned their sorrows in a few O&O's. Afterwards, they put their campaign-branded earmuffs on so they didn't have to listen to talk radio.

The @MikeforIllinois Campaign Should Hire This Person. Seriously.
We were just sent one of the responses that have come in on the Mike Frerichs' Campaign Craigslist ad seeking a copywriter. Want to see the original post showing the ad? Check it out here on the Truth Team.
As you know by know, we love giving the Frerichs campaign a good ribbing, but we have some serious advice. Hire this person. Srsly.
Here's their email as sent to us by a mole inside Frerichs HQ. We redacted their name for privacy.
Dear Candidate,That's exactly what they're trying to avoid.
I've heard some tall tales, yet your Craigslist posting rises to new heights. . .
Luckily, your staff seems blessed with a sense of humor!
If I can assist them and you -- having written for magazines and newspapers since way last century -- let's talk.
Regards,

P.S. Guessing you'd like to avoid gaffes like "twoday is a grate day" and others of this ilk?

Mike Frerichs For Treasurer Campaign Looking For Campaign Help
Over on Champaign-Urbana Craigslist there's a job posting for a copywriter/proofer for a statewide political campaign out of Champaign. The ad, doesn't say it is specifically for the Mike Frerichs' campaign, does however reference the Treasurer's office. It also identifies a few other mistakes the campaign has made.
Thus, we're making the leap that this was posted by Team Frerichs.
Check it out:
Oh...to be on the other end of the folks applying for this gig. Maybe a mole in Frerichs HQ will send us along any applications that come in. That would be sooooo great, right?
We applaud the campaign's move that is so desperately needed, but we worry that when they fill this role, we here at the Illinois Truth Team will have A LOT less stuff to cover out of Champaign.
